Correct Errors in Date/Time
« : 11 Января 2014, 12:13:57 »
I've had a problem with an incorrect date/time since the 1.008E update.  The latest 1.011E did not correct this problem.  The GPS didn't seem to update the date correctly either.  After reading some of the post and threads from this forum, I think I've come up with a possible solution.

1.   You have the timezone configured correctly.
2.   You have a spare SD Card.
3.   You have access to an SSH terminal (e.g. PuTTY).

1.   Prepare a Blank SD card using the recommended formatter (SDFormatter).
3.   Connect your terminal (e.g. PC, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, Android device) to your BlackVue via Wifi.
3.   SSH to using the root (password available on this forum).
4.   At the command prompt, type date -s "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM" (replace with current date and time).
5.   Disconnect from the BlackVue.
6.   Power down the BlackVue and replace the existing SD card with the newly formatted SD card.
7.   Power up the BlackVue.
8.   Using the iPhone or Android application, confirm the date and time are now updated using Live View.

Steps 4-7 must be done in exactly that order.  If you leave the existing SD card in the BlackVue, and reboot, the date and time will revert.

I'm still baffled how come the GPS doesn't correct the date/time and where the stock firmware is obtaining the initial date/time during the upgrading process.
